[ Summary ] Patients undergoing hemodialysis exhibit sexual dysfunction which is caused by diverse conditions. These conditions include uremic status, dialysis therapies, endocrinological disorders, adverse effects of drugs, hypertension, atherosclerosis, etc.
PDE-5 inhibitors are potential therapeutic agents which are expected to also be effective for sexual dysfunction in these patients. Careful considerations will be needed for underlying complications when prescribing these agents.
