[ Summary ] The Japan Association of Clinical Engineering Technologists (hereinafter called as JACET) was established on February 1990, as a professional medical association, in order to conduct the operation and maintenance of life support medical systems and equipment. From the beginning, JACET has made efforts to create and intensify professional moral, clinical and technological potentials for the purpose of contributing to the health and welfare of the public. On March 2002, as result of our activities over the last twelve years, JACET has been approved as a non-profit public incorporated association by the Ministry of Health Labour, and Welfare.
At this time, we will explain JACET's present activities and its future targets for the achievement of an "Industrial Vision for Medical Equipment" as authorized by the Ministry of Health Labour, and Welfare last March.
