[ Summary ] Clinical engineers have gradually been recognized as medical staff members who ensure the safety of advanced medical treatment. However, many students who enter training schools for clinical engineers do not fully understand clinical engineering. Therefore, the role of the instructor who trains clinical engineers is very important. This article describes the desired nature of instructors in these training schools for clinical engineers, how their qualities can be improved, and how good relations between instructors and students can be developed, based on our experiences at Kitasato University.
