| [ Summary ] | Recent advances in blood purification modalities have made it safe and effective to perform extracorporeal blood purification (ECBP) treatments for small children. When ECBP is used for small children, there are several concerns including priming volume, blood access, coagulation in the extracorporeal circuit and body water balance. In this review, practical issues which apply to ECBP for children were briefly summarized. | |
