[ Summary ] Intradialytic hypotension (IDH) affects the prognosis and quality of life for chronic hemodialysis patients. The major cause of IDH is a decrease in circulation volume, so it is necessary to adjust dry weight and control of ultrafiltration for each dialysis session to improve IDH. Because many diabetic patients have autonomic nerve dysfunction and / or cardiac disease, treatment of IDH is difficult. To control IDH in diabetic hemodialysis patients, we must use several types of treatment, such as use of pharmacologic agents, particular dialysis methods and therapeutic exercise, for the long term care.
