[ Summary ] Recent advances in a blood purification therapy have made it possible for it to be widely applied to pediatric patients. Although these are differences in applications for different diseases, the rationales for and the effects of blood purification therapy for children and adults seems to be similar, there are several special issues in blood purification therapy, for small children. In this review, some of those special issues concerning blood purification therapy for pediatric patients were briefly summarized.
