[ Summary ] One way of understanding a patient is to gather information about the patient's personal matters, including diseases, their family, daily life, social circumstances, support and care groups and then to relate to patient background.
Health education may be done in relation to diet, water restrictions, medication, exercise, work, rest, etc. along with the patient's daily life, in relation to patient background.
New nurses should honestly related to dialysis patients who have been ill for long periods to win the patient's confidence. It may take time to gain a good understanding of the patient.
If you feel uneasy about the operation of dialysis machines, you should learn the mechanics of these machines and try to operate them yourself. Practice will make you confident about their operation.
