| [ Summary ] | Automated peritoneal dialysis (APD) has some advantages in comparison with the conventional PD. For example, we can choose an optimal PD treatment modality and operating conditions for each patient with APD machines. Almost all PD patients receive treatment at home by themselves. The APD machine, provides higher levels of safety and easier operation and maintenance. We carried out our questionnaire survey on the APD machine with both patients and manufacturers. From these results, it was demonstrated that there were some differences between the patients' needs and the manufacturers' responses. It is thought that the manufacturers should pay more attention to customer satisfaction needs. |
