[ Summary ] The "Medical Information New Technology" (MINT) system was developed to provide examination results to the medical staff and hemodialysis patients. This system also stores clinical data. An evaluation of clinical examination data which has been input, is automatically performed. The staff and patients then receive printed results of analyzed data with comments calling attention to abnormal values. The MINT system is useful as an early diagnostic tool. In the future, the MINT system will evaluate the results of analyses and interact with a computerized dialysis treatment manual that will recommend a protocol to support treatment and prevention of hemodialysis related complications.
