[ Summary ] Patients who have allergies to contrast madia, and patients who have a history of allergies to contrast media, especially those patients with fixed drug eruptions require time to recover and cannot receive contrast media. It is then, possible to carry out interventional radiology (IVR) for patients who cannnot receive contrast media with digital subtraction angiography (DSA) using carbon dioxide (CO2). With percutaneous transluminal angioplasty (PTA) and fistulography, it is possible to use CO2. However, it is necessary to understand the feature of CO2 therapy.
