[ Summary ] From the aspect of reproductive health/rights, delivery/child care support is important to hemodialysis patients when choosing to become pregnant and in improving their QOL through delivery/child care. Therefore, we evaluated delivery/child care support in both an interview survey and a review of the literature.
During pregnancy, in addition to the prevention and early detection of abnormalities such as threatened abortion/premature delivery, anemia, and hydramnion, patients' anxiety and stress levels should be reduced, and support should be provided with a good understanding of patients and close cooperation between the departments of gynecology and obstetrics, the medical department, and the hemodialysis section. In addition, child care support related to the growth stage of children is important and should be developed by selecting persons who can cooperate in housework and in providing giving child care consultation.
