[ Summary ] In all institutions, when a crisis occurs and makes it impossible to communicate with support institutions, there is a need to transmit suffering patients' medical information. We made and distributed dialysis patient medical information cards for emergencies in which we must manage patients' information using commercial database software, our own software, etc. Although the computer system serves as an indispensable tool for managing patients' information, it is important to incorporate functions related to the crisis into this system. It is also necessary to establish two or more lines of communication and to establish a local dialysis medical network along with a communication information network. The Japanese association of dialysis phisicians and individual dialysis phisicians are promoting this information network construction for use at the time of a crisis, in cooperation with the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy.
