[ Summary ] The need for medical care information for patients is increasing. However, available information on medical institutions is not yet fully. As a solution, regulations on medical advertising have been gleatly relaxed. In addition, the Japan Internet Medical Association has proposed a structure to relive patients whereby they can receive information about the medical care over the internet. For third party evaluation of medical institutions, the Japan Council for Quality Health Care was established. For dialysis patients, QOL information for long term management is important. In addition to dialysis information, full names, dialysis time, and accumulation analyzes patient information with an individual recognition system and use of an electronic chart along with the establishment of a patient information management center will be established in the future. It will also be necessary to establish an information network, which is "intelligent" and which is not simply a database.
