| [ Summary ] | The i-STAT system consists of a disposable plastic cartridge, containing a set of highly miniaturized sensors and a portable analyzer, which measures the signal and a generator and a system for storage of results. Analytical evaluation showed satisfactory accuracy and precision and the results are highly comparable to those measured with conventional analyzers. The i-STAT system is very useful for diagnosis and treatment of patients in dialysis units. | |
