[ Summary ] Ultrafiltration (UF) control has been performed by dialysis machines linked to computer systems, and they have enabled us to perform scheduled dialysis treatments. In the past, dialysis patients were required to have his/her weight monitored on a scale bed. Recently, the Miracle DIMCS 21 has enabled us to select the most effective UF pattern automatically, in relation to the weight of the dialysis patient who may be inclined to hypotension during dialysis. As for the CAM 90, central monitoring system it enabled us to provide UF control, in combination with the auto-settings for UF goals.
This computer system controls UF volume through data feedback, related to weight changes in patients who during dialysis, have been transferred from the bed scale to this system. Dialysis treatment can be performed safely by monitoring both kinds of weight-control systems. UF volume control can be made simultaneously by the dialysis machine.
