[ Summary ] MRI and enhanced CT are very useful methods to noninvasively evaluate atherosclerosis of the aorta and peripheral arteries. Both methods are substituted for conventional angiography in diagnosis of the peripheral arteries. MRA and enhanced EBCT have the potential for diagnosis of coronary artery stenosis. MRI studys, evaluation of characteristics of plaque in relation to carotid arteries and pathological findings are being conducted.
