| [ Summary ] | Atherosclerosis causes cardiovascular disease that decides patients' fate and quality of life. Unfortunately, no therapies that sufficiently cure atherosclerosis have been developed yet. Understanding the mechanisms underlying atherosclerotic processes may lead to advanced therapeutic strategies. The roles of VSMC in the progression of atherosclerosis are discussed in this review. | |
