[ Summary ] Methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) is one bacteria, which shows many and strong resistances to antibiotics. Using broad spectrum beta-lactum antibiotics involves a variant of the penicillin binding protein(PBP) receptor on the bacterial membrane. Though symptoms, such as MRSA infection seem milder than those seen with methicillin sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA), MRSA patients have so many complications that the resulting clinical courses are not satis factory. VCM and ABK, TEICO is an effective antibiotic against MRSA infection. Prevention of MRSA outbreaks and spreading plays an important roll, because few recent reports have shown VCM resistant MRSA infections.
