[ Summary ] It is known the occurence rate of malignancy after renal transplant recipients after transplant is not as rare as has been previously reported both in Japan and from abroad. Due to the increase in the renal graft survival rate, the increase in renal patient suvival rate, and the use of ciclosporine and tacrolimus, malignancy is occurring more freqently in renal transplant recipients. This occurrence rate is nearly 6%.
It is necessary to diagnose the malignancy of renal transplant recipients earlier and initiate treatment quickly. In the future the malignancy rate of renal transplant recipients will gradually increase, and so we must closely monitor the renal transplant recipients.
