[ Summary ] Recently, the number of standard dialyzers in use has been decreasing. High-flux dialyzers are thought to be used in over 80% of all cases in Japan. High-flux dialyzer have high-removal efficiency (=clearance), high ultrafiltration rates and, biocompatibility. But it is protein loosing membrain.
Therefore, it is necessary to change the nutritional quality of and nutritional assessment for High-flux dialyzers used with patients. We will explain how should nutritional states and assessments are evaluated in High-flux dialyzer used for patients.
