[ Summary ] Recently, the prognosis for children with ESRD had been greatly improved, especially in infants and young children. Therefore, adequate growth and development are needed. Because in infants and young children, energy intake significantly correlates with growth in height, adequate enegy intake is nessesary. Although obesity was not seen in young children, school-aged children tend to become obese. Children who are obese did not have excessive energy intake and weight/height ratio correlated with excercise, as measured by a walking-meter. These results suggest school-aged children with obesity need appropriate exercise and low energy intake was not recommended.
