[ Summary ] Dialysis patients exsist who want to die at home. We will report on how home support for senile dialysis patients should be performed, through the actual home terminal care cases we experienced.
Case 1 and 2, who had been receiving regular hemodialysis, chose to terminate their lives while under the devoted home care given by their families. However, case 3, who had been on APD, died in the hospital, because the patient's family could not accept the heavy burden of planned terminal home care.
With home support, it is necessary to collect all the information from social care services and make an effort to construct a reliable relationship with the patient's family. Futher more, it is especially important to maintain the patient's comfort in the terminal stage and take care of their families psychologicall conditions.
