[ Summary ] Recently many aged patients with end stage renal failure have started on long-term dialysis. Therefore care for dialyzed patients has been more frequently necessary, in regard to the high population of aged patients and complications from long-term dialysis.
We investigated the transportation of more than patientes over 80 years in age to our kidney center. In conclusion not only is family support absolutely necessary but general social support is also necessary for aging families.
Transportation of aged dialysis patients by social and regional agencies and the cost of social responses should be planed for as soon as possible.
