[ Summary ] Renal transplant recipients show various physical and mental complications because they have a long time of hemodialysis period prior to transplantation and continue to receive special immunosuppressants after transplantation. When they receive living related or cadeveric donor kidneys, they also feel anxious about the donor's condition and situation. Therefore, it is imperative that we try to encourage and relax these patients when they feel anxious about various complications and situations. Also, we should take care of the patient's physical condition to prevent infectious disease or rejection. On the other hand, patients need to cooperate us to maintain a stable condition over long periods. We concluded that it is necessary to nurse and rehabilitate these patients, considering not only their physical conditions but their mental states, in order to realize a better quality of life for the patient with well-functioning renal grafts.
