[ Summary ] The increase in the number of dialysis patients is an important issue in relation to psychiatric problems. The psychiatric problems associated with dialysis patients are dementia, depressive states, states of anxiety, delirium, and hallucinatory paranoid state.
Dialysis patients have many risk factors such as social stress, emotional conflicts, organic brain disorder components, aging, and physical complications. Phychotic symptoms associated with drugs used by dialysis patients are quite common.
It is also important to pay attention to psychiatric problems in dialysis patients in order to treat them approriately.
