Title Dialysis patients worrying about family member's disease -- influences of family member's disease

[ Summary ] The family has psychological problems peculiar unto itself. Family members play the roles which are expected of them. This is also the case with families of dialysis patieflts. How ever it becomes difficult for them to play their roles as family members, as the individuals mature.
When one of patient's family members experiences serious or chronic illness, the patient's family may experience some psychosociaI problems. When the spouse of a patient became sick and dies, the family often has serious psychiatric problems. Rarely, does the family band together, and become stable. But, in many cases, the family becomes ill too, often becomeing depressive or showing signs of panic. Commonly the surviving spouse also dies soon after the death of their mate.
