[ Summary ] The increase in number of diabetic patients who are receiving hemodialysis is an important issue when we consider patient's psychological and behavioral problems. This is because they show some characteristics different than those seen in other dialysis patients. We should take these differences into consideration. In this paper, we report on two such patients, and discuss the psychological significance of diabetic complications and avoidant, coping behavior or denial in these patients. We will also discuss the methods necessary to manage these probleols.
