Theme The Choice of Blood Purification for the Patients with Renal Failure

[ Summary ] We need to consider how to apply blood purfication therapy when patients with various hematological diseases acute or chronic renal failure, or when regular dialysis patients developped various blood diseases. In this paper, several blood diseases are discussed.
1. Multiple myeloma : Double filtration plasmapheresis and cryofiltration were applied.
2. Aplastic anemia and leukemia : Blood access and anticoagulants should be considered.
3. DIC : Continuous hemodia- or hemo-filtrations is applied.
4. Hemolytic uremic syndrome (HUS) : Plasma pheresis is applied.
5. Refractory anemia with erythropoietin : Efficacy of dialysis should be considered in order to restore under-dialysis condition.
