[ Summary ] Clinical cardiac complications are frequentely encounterd in dialysis patients. In the treatment of patients with cardiac complications, such as ischemic heart disease, myocarditis, aortic aneurysm, continuous hypotension, several strategies must be considered, 1) the choice of dialysis therapy (hemodialysis, hemodiafiltration, continuous hemofiltration, or continuous hemodiafiltration), 2) the choice of dialysis membrane, 3) the choice of anticoagulant, 4) setting of dryweight, 5) how to monitor circulating blood volume, 6) the choice of medications. Since a number of patients have cardiac surgery, we should know how to care for patients after cardiac surgery.
Since the average age of dialysis patients is increasing and the number of diabetic patients is growing, the number of patients with cardiac complications is increasing. It is important to know various dialysis manuevers.
