[ Summary ] | "Apheresis", a term derived from Greek, means separation. Apheresis techniques have been utilized in plasma purification such as (1) whole plasma exchange, (2) fractionation plasma exchange and 3) plasma adsorption, as well as cytapheresis. Clinical applications are focussed on macromolecule-relevant disorders such as immunological, transplantation-related, hyperlipidemic, hepatic diseases. |
