[ Summary ] Body weight after hemodialysis (HD), so called dry weight, is a very important factor in treating patients on HD. We estimate this weight by using multiple scales, derived from chest x-rays, echocardiography, endocrine data(hANP) etc. The purpose of this study was to determine the dry weight of each patient after HD, using the bioelectrical impedance theory. In this study, we estimated the amount of extracellular water and intracellular water, using non-invasive multi frequency bioimpedance measurements. We have drawn the conclusion that this method would be a good tool to be used as a continuous body fluid monitoring system during hemodialysis.
