[ Summary ] Kyoritsu Kanbara General Hospital has installed a new ordering system and its dialysis center will have two terminals linked to it, which will be used for inspection instruction, and prescription ordering. But the dialysis center has been using dialysis the Miracle DIMCS system for several years. The system was used for ordering tasks, as well as dialysis machine control. This means they have two different computer systems for one task. This kind of problem will occur frequently these days, when we are facing high speed computerization and upgrading of systems. This article describes how we resolved this problem by connecting an existing dialysis system and a new ordering system and transferring data between them.
