The goal of nursing for patients who are receiving dialysis therapy is to offer QOL (quality of life) to people forced to cope with diseases. However, medical and nursing services for patients who are receiving dialysis therapy, requires a huge amount of manpower. In order to promote nursing care in accord with the characteristics and needs of patients while using limited human and medical resources, the development of information systems and use of pioneering multimedia technologies are very important.
This article will attempt to promote the use of nursing information systems for dialysis therapy, along with their potential and significance to this field of medicine.
