[ Summary ] The preceptorship, which is one of the educational programs for novice nurses, facilitates the preceptor's professional growth. Preceptorship experience which makes the nurse's endeavor to integrate knowledge and skills into clinical experience and to act as a professional role model enhances the nurse's skilled practice. Preceptorship experience which makes preceptor-preceptee relationship and professional socialization develops competencies to enhance personal relations in the teamwork. It also develops clinical judgment, critical thinking and self-determination. A feeling of achievement through preceptorship experience can establish pride as a leader and a specialist and heighten the nurse's will to work.
