[ Summary ] | At present, glucose-containing bicabonate dialysate are commonly used for routine hemodialysis. In this article, changes of the sodium, glucose, and alkaline buffer as components of dialysate solutions are explained, and the concentrations of these components used most frequently in 1998 are given. A safe dialysate solution contains 140mEq/l of sodium, 100 to 150mg/dl of glucose, and 30mEq/1 of bicarbonate ion as a buffer to ajust the solution to pH 7.2 to 7.3. |
