[ Summary ] Spinal disorders in long term hemodialysis patients are frequently observed to involve the cervical spine, atlantoaxial joint, and lumbar spine. These lesions are classified into the following categories. 1) Destructive spondyloarthropathy with or without spondylolisthesis and spinal deformity. 2) Pseudotumor and spondyloarthropathy of the atlantoaxial joint. 3) Amyloid deposition of the intervertebral disc, posterior longitudinal ligament and yellow ligament. We can evaluate spondyloarthropathy with plain X-P and soft part lesions and spinal cord lesions with MRI.
