| [ Summary ] | South American countries are now developing but individual national economies are unstable. Therefore, there is a great deal of crime in these countries. If a Japanese hemodialysis patient wants to receive treatment as a tourist in these countries, obtaining adequate treatment is problematic at present. Furthermore, the treatment level is not the same as that in Japan. When a patient travels to one of these countries, it is advisable to investigate the situation of that country in advance. Occasionally, it is preferable to actually bring the dialyzer, rHuEPO, and so on. However, we hope that facilities and the treatment level will improve allowing tourists to obtain dialysis treatment safely in the near future. |
