Title Pulmonary tuberculosis in dialysis patients

[ Summary ] Dialysis patient have impaired cellular immunity, the main natural defense to tubercle bacilli. Signs and symptoms which indicate the diagnosis of pulmonary tuberculosis including miliary tuberculosis, are cough, sputum, fever, general malaise, chest pain, appetite loss, weakness, weight loss, back pain, etc. Examinations include findings are chest roentgenography, detection of tubercle bacilli, accelerated ESR, autopsy, biopsy, and tuberculin skin reaction.
Diagnostic treatment with INH is useful in cases in whom it is difficult to verify the diagnosis of tuberculosis.
