[ Summary ] The video-capsule for enterscopy is well tolerated by patients and has made the small bowel mucosus membrane accessible to the endoscopists as never before. The high resolution of the images easily depicts lesions seen by minute lesions never seen before (Fig.7). The clinical significance of these tiny findings has yet to be defined.
The easiness with which the capsle is swallowed many soon promote the video-capsle-enterscopy to be a diagnostic examination of first choice in patients without clinical signs of gastric retention and/or bowel obstruction.
