| [ Summary ] | Computed tomographic colonography (CTC) is a minimally invasive imaging method that uses CT for data acquisition combined with specialized imaging software to examine the colon and rectum. CTC has been proposed as the best alternative imaging modality for the diagnosis of colorectal neoplasia. The accuracy of CTC for colorectal neoplasia has been shown to be similar to that of optical colonoscopy in both symptomatic and asymptomatic patients. The standardization of CTCs based on evidence is very important for high accuracy and safety. | |
