[ Summary ] When focusing for magnification, there are two important elements to consider: distance adjustment and zoom lever operation. It is technically difficult to alter the distance adjustment and the zoom lever operation at the same time, and the aim is to adjust the focus while adjusting either one according to the situation. In the present hospital setting, a non-traumatic tube from Olympus was used for magnification. It is very useful to stabilize the distance during magnification by pressing it against the colon mucosa. Even when the lesion moves due to the influence of the pulsation, it is possible to capture a focused image by using a non-traumatic tube. Training is indispensable for taking images useful for diagnosis, and it is important to take the best images when performing endoscopy.
