| [ Summary ] | In July 2012, the guidelines for management of antithrombotic agents for endoscopic procedures were published by the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society. However, little evidence has proven the efficacy of these guidelines for colorectal endoscopic resection. We evaluated the outcomes of endoscopic resection for colorectal tumors in patients receiving antithrombotics in our institution. Our data suggest that use of antiplatelet or anticoagulant agents increased the risk of bleeding after endoscopic resection for colorectal tumors compared to nonuse of antithrombotics. We need to treat those patients with antithrombotics carefully when we perform endoscopic resection for colorectal tumors. | |
