[ Summary ] Attachment of a transparent hood to the tip of the colonoscope facilitates easy visualization of the operative field. It has improved the adenoma detection rate, as well as the cecal intubation rate and time. An Endocuff device has soft wings, which hook the fold of the rectosigmoid junction/sigmoid-descending angle during retrieval of the colonoscope, and therefore facilitates observation of the oral side of the fold, thereby leading to an improved adenoma detection rate. However, we found that the cecal intubation time and rate was not improved.
