[ Summary ] |
Transanal minimally invasive surgery (TAMIS) is a novel approach for the local resection of a rectal lesion based on the technique of transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM) with the development of laparoscopic minimally invasive surgical devices. TAMIS involves so smooth operability with stable and high-quality visualization. The concept of TAMIS will be expanded to local excision and transanal total mesorectal excision (taTME) for advanced rectal cancer. |
