[ Summary ] Cold polypectomy (CP), including the two methods of cold forceps polypectomy (CFP) and cold snare polypectomy (CSP), is very eff ective for the removal of colorectal polyps (≤10 mm) in order to achieve a "clean colon". CFP is applied to the removal of diminutive polyps (≤3 mm). CSP is preferred for the removal of small polyps (≤10 mm). No delayed bleeding developed after CFP, while delayed bleeding following CSP occurred in 1.2 % (2/172) of patients taking antithrombotic agents. Colorectal polyps ≤10 mm can be removed without a significant increase in delayed bleeding by CP, including CFP and CSP, even in patients taking antithrombotic agents. This chapter describes the efficacy and safety of cold polypectomy in patients taking antithrombotic agents.
