[ Summary ] It is important to recognize whether early colorectal cancer infiltration is sm massive (sm2-3) or not (m or sm1) . This is because it is known that intramucosal (m) and minimum invading (sml) carcinoma do not show lymph node metastasis, according to the reports of various researchers.
The characteristic endoscopic features of sm massive invasive depressed type carcinoma are an uneven surface of the depression, extensive depression, fold convergency and endoscopic rigidity of the lesion area.
