Title Retrospective radiographic study of colorectal cancer ; progression from early to advanced stage cancer

[ Summary ] On the basis of radiographic retrospective analysis, growth rates of colorectal cancers were compared among various depths of invasion. In addition, growth rates of PG and of NPG cancer were compared among cancers of the same invasive depth. Growth rates of cancers which grew into submucosal invasive tumors were slower than those of cancers which invaded the muscularis propria or subserosa. Growth rates of PG nd NPG cancers did not differ among various depths of invasion. Growth rates of cancers which developed from submucosal invasion were much higher than those of cancers which became submucosally invasive. Therefore, comparisons of growth rates of early cancers must be evaluated among cancers of the same depth at invaion.
