[ Summary ] We describe herein the radiological features of depressed tumors of the large intestine. Macroscopically, they were classified as IIc, IIc+IIa and, IIa+IIc. The finding of detectable lesions was an irregularly shaped barium fleck with surrounding radiolucency, irrespective of the macroscopic shape and size of the tumor. It was necessary to avoid pneumatic overextension in order to achieve marginal elevation and to prepare the X-ray equipment so as to demonstrate the surrounding network pattern of the normal mucosa.
