[ Summary ] |
Endoscopic approaches for pancreatobiliary diseases with altered gastrointestinal anatomy were considered impractical until the advent of DBE made them possible. However, these are still challenging cases. The difficulties involved are due to a variety of complications with reconstructive surgery. To establish procedures and achieve the higher success rates, it is important to analyze the techniques for deep cannulation and ERCP-related intervention in postsurgical situations. Improvements in the development of scopes and other devices are necessary to improve the safety and success rates for these procedures. |
