[ Summary ] An evaluation of SM massively invasive cancer, 10 mm or less in size was conducted to understand the features of those types of lesions. The frequency of endoscopic findings suggestive of SM massively invasive cancer using conventional endoscopy, NBI, or magnifying endoscopy for SM massively invasive cancers of 10 mm or less in size was equal to the number of SM massively invasive cancers over 10 mm. Therefore, when we detect cancerous lesion, we should carefully make diagnoses in relation to the depth of lesion. After that, if we can not confirm the depth, we must produce a diagnosis using an NBI system and magnifying observation with crystal violet staining.
